Green Cheeks – What Does “8th Generation” Mean?

by Meg @ Whidbey Birds in Testimonials 0 comments

Okay alot of people have asked me what exactly does it mean when I put 6th or 7th or 8th generation green cheek. Well this means that for that many generations I have been breeding just pineapple to pineapple together. Now – why do I do this? The colors that you get from breeding them back to another pineapple can be dramatic. The reds are so much more striking and then the yellow starts coming out more and more… So if you want a green cheek with colors that are just on fire this is a winner for us.
